Definitely satisfied my craving! Pros: - Delicious soy marinated crabs - Kimchi pancake was a nice palette cleanser to eat in between Cons: - Maybe the price for some people? But, I think it was worth it for high quality crab!

The food is absolutely phenomenal!!! I was craving Korean raw marinated crab and I stumbled across Rich Crab on yelp. The reviews were promising, so i was excited! We ordered the combo B I believe, with seafood stew, spicy marinated crab & soy sauce marinated crab. The soy sauce marinated crab was the best!!! The flavor was so delicious, I loved eating the sauce with the rice. The banchan was good too. The restaurant itself is clean and the restroom is very clean too. Service was great! Extremely friendly. I HIGHLY recommend!!! There is also an abundance of street parking. :)

I was craving for raw crab and my bf took me on a trip to SoCal. We went to Rich Crab and boy are they delicious. We got the small combo good for 2 people. The crabs are well flavored, sweet, and fresh. It goes sooo good with everything. I never seen potatoes pancakes elsewhere so I ordered and omg... I love the texture, a bit mochi ish. The seafood stew is tasty too and they loaded with a lot of crabs too. We went to the restaurant after peak lunch hour so it feels like good to have the whole place to ourselves. The owner there was so nice and attentive. I love vibes This is a must try spot!!

FINALLY MADE IT HERE! Came on a Saturday night around an hour and a half before closing but would definitely recommend coming earlier to have ample time to eat. Pretty sizable spot with that well-loved vibe typical of homestyle restaurants. We ordered a small Combo A that ended up being waaay more than enough for dinner. Being on the later end, we were seated immediately by the kind older couple I believe run the establishment. Banchan was plentiful and delicious. When the food came out, it was all together: kimchi pancake, massive pot of seafood stew on a butane burner (everything from fish sperm to clams), and the soy and spicy marinated crab. Awesome value and the combo option made it easy to feel satisfied afterwards. Soy marinated crab was super sweet and buttery and I ended up dipping a lot more than just the crab in that marinade, and the spicy crab was heavier on the spice than the crab flavor (understandable when you think about how overpowering the flavor of gochujang can be). Having tried one other fairly popular ganjang gejang place in LA, I can say the service and food of Rich Crab are a step above.

Gold star eating experience for those looking try the viral gejang, Korean raw soy marinated crab. My friend sent I had each separately been impressed by this raw crab phenomenon and had been wanting to try it. Researching reviews on Yelp, we came to the consensus that Rich Crab and Crab House were the places to go. Crab House unfortunately was closed for new year's celebrations so we came to Rich Crab. Boy, were we glad we did! Gejang raw crabs, as I said up top, is a gold star eating experience but unfortunately also is expensive like gold. Each single crab will cost you $45. We ordered two since we were expecting to make a raw crab crawl to try different top spots, hoping to leave room for more food later. For parties with more eaters, they offer combos but the only difference for increased size is you get more soup. The number of crabs per combo is the same for all three sizes. Caveat emptor. The crabs come out pristine, fresh and firm, gleaming with the soy marinade. They also sell a spicy version but I already know what gochujang tastes like and wanted to try the crab for its intrinsic flavor. When eaten raw, the taste and texture is akin to eating uni. It's got that same briny smoothness with a slight oceanic funk, the crab's richness coating your tongue long after you've swallowed. I suppose this is normal and what they named the restaurant after. It took us quite a long time to eat the crabs, wanting to savor each morsel. Along with banchan, a box of gloves and a pair of crab crackers are brought to the table for all your crab eating utensil needs. I think you're supposed to bite through the tough parts with your teeth, which we did, but it's comforting knowing the crackers are there for backup. Service is friendly but they leave you to enjoy your crab chawing experience and shell spitting shame until you signal you're done. Giant poster pictures of the other delicious looking dishes they serve adorn the walls. I will definitely come back the next time the gejang craving hits. I suppose I can find places in my own home turf of OC to have it but this feels like the Cadillac gejang experience.

Curious about the fad surrounding raw crab and to celebrate a friend's birthday, we came here and ordered Combo B, which include the spicy crab stew, soy sauce marinated crab, kimchi pancake, spicy marinated crab, and several banchans. Since there weren't many other diners when we arrived, service was prompt. Now with the food. First and foremost, be prepared to use your hands to break open the crabs. Gloves are provided but there's some work involved. The soy sauce crab was refreshing and flavorful. Other than the spice, it was a bit difficulty to taste the flavor of the spicy marinated crab, but still enjoyable. What I thought would be the best item turned out differently. The spicy crab stew, generally good and savory, had Japanese pumpkins that tasted off, with a rotten smell, for lack of a better description. The kimchi pancake, like many I've had in my life, were spot on. Overall, an interesting experience. Parking can be a challenge so be prepared to park on the street.

A tucked away, K-town strip mall eatery features the freshest, crabbiest Korean crab. Get one of the combos and get ready to really dig in. Each table gets an entire box of plastic food-handling gloves for eating and you will inevitably walk away with some orange on your chin. Combo B came with a Kimchi Pancake, which is always a great option and starts with the Spicy Marinated Crab, which has a bright red sauce that's sweet and slightly spice. Soy-marinated Crab is a new adventure, a whole raw sea-stinging crab full of gooey roe. Best when consumed over warm purple rice. Spoon some rice into the shell as well and mix it up with the guts. The Spicy Seafood Stew is a sea-savory soup with a sweeter finish, full of chunks of fish, head-on shrimp and even an entire octopus. We added the Seafood Pancake out of curiosity. It's an egg-based mix of calamari, shrimp, and so many leeks. Didn't need it (plenty of food in the combo) but didn't regret it either. Warning: DO NOT eat here if you don't like crab. This crab has stingingly briny, salty-sea flavors, (as it should), but it can be a lot for those who aren't accustomed to it. That said, I loved it! I've been wanting to explore Korean cuisine, and this was one of my better food experiences for sure.

I was here a little more than 2 weeks ago and had a pleasant experience! It was my first time trying raw marinated crab and I came here after seeing a video on tik tok about this place. I brought my friend as well, though she thought we were going to another place (Crab House), yet she was pleasantly surprised as well. We ordered 2 soy marinated crabs and that was enough for us. We enjoyed the side dishes that came with it and the mom and daughter that was working was happy to refill them for us. In fact, they were so nice that they made our experience here even more enjoyable! Overall I highly highly recommend this place. The only con is parking which is quite annoying. They do have a small lot, but when I went it was valet only. However, this is also pretty normal in k-town so it wasn't unexpected.

I was recommended this place by some friends and fell in love with their soy sauce marinated raw crab. While a little pricey at $45 for one crab, one is good enough to feed 1-2 people and comes with steamed purple rice. The soy sauce marinade is perfect and not too salty or sweet, and the crab is fresh. We also tried their spicy crab stew and it was great! I also love that they serve free iced barley tea instead of water. I think it's so refreshing. There's a valet in the lot but there is also a lot of street parking nearby. Great family-owned business (I believe) and I see this place getting compared to Master Ha's for their raw crab. Give them a try if you're in the area!
